Youth Literacy Outreach

We have taken our kid’s writing classes out into the community!

*This programming is currently on hiatus, due to lack of funding. Please contact us if you would like to sponsor this programming so we can begin again in January 2025

Our writing programs are hosted throughout Pinellas County, taught by dedicated teachers where students engage in different styles of writing, storytelling, group projects and self-publishing. LitSpace Youth’s goal is to expand its youth writing classes to additional local recreation centers, other Title One schools, and youth centers.

We are partnering with PCSB’s 21st Century iclass in offering after school writing classes in Title One elementary schools throughout Pinellas County. We also partner with Academy Prep and offer summer creative writing programs with Camp Summer Quest and High Point Family Center. In total we serve 250 students a week during the school year.

If your group would benefit from our ongoing children’s writing classes please Contact Us for rates and scheduling.

If you are wanting to donate to subsidizing groups and organizations that wouldn’t be able to afford writing classes please contact us about being a sponsor.

We have a large roster of wonderful teachers, who are looking forward to helping us expand our creative community. We are elated to help our local kids tell their stories! Read and Write on!

Thank you to our sponsors City of St. Petersburg, Creative Pinellas, St. Petersburg Art Alliance, NEA Arts, Grow Financial Credit Union and supports like YOU!
